He didn’t simply say he has absolute power. Now his name will be printed on every bailout check, and there are tens of millions of Americans who are literally going to think he personally sent it to them. Don’t kid yourself; they’ll want to vote for him in order to say thank you.

It’s beyond “At this rate he’s going to become a dictator.” He’s in the process of becoming one now. Maher says he’s afraid he won’t leave the WH but it’s beyond that already. He doesn’t plan for there to be an election. He’ll say he’s using his emergency powers to “postpone” it.

The scariest part of course is how many Americans would think that’s a good idea. He will at least float this idea at some point. Our greatest hope at the moment lies with Republican senators who know this is true & will find the courage to act. I think there are a few who might.

Yeah Bernie only hope to beat Trump - Obiden and DNC should endorse Bernie - his supporters got this

Because Congress had nothing to do with it. It was all Trump.

How can we change that narrative?
I supported Bernie in 2016 and 2020. But let’s be real. As far as trump and the democrats it’s the same game. Don’t call out trump and not the Democratic machine...don’t hate the player, hate the game.

This isn’t a smart, nuanced take.

for many of us it is direct deposit so we can avoid his touch.

I mean, I’m not going to vote for him, but I’m pretty sure he won’t have to postpone the election to not have to leave the WH. Have you seen your candidate. Trump probably doesn’t even need to show up for debates.

If I get one of those checks I am swiping it with 91% alcohol before I touch it. Trump may still have COVID.

How is that acting like a dictator? I think we're reading too much into this.

Wait that's true? Maybe that's what was taking so long even for the folks who already had DD with the IRS?
