He didn’t simply say he has absolute power. Now his name will be printed on every bailout check, and there are tens of millions of Americans who are literally going to think he personally sent it to them. Don’t kid yourself; they’ll want to vote for him in order to say thank you.

It’s beyond “At this rate he’s going to become a dictator.” He’s in the process of becoming one now. Maher says he’s afraid he won’t leave the WH but it’s beyond that already. He doesn’t plan for there to be an election. He’ll say he’s using his emergency powers to “postpone” it.

The scariest part of course is how many Americans would think that’s a good idea. He will at least float this idea at some point. Our greatest hope at the moment lies with Republican senators who know this is true & will find the courage to act. I think there are a few who might.

It’s so disheartening to think about how many people are gullable enough to continue to empower him😓

90+% via direct deposit. Checks will be SMALL number People will vote FOR Trump if they believe he is fighting FOR them. Obama/Biden bailed out banks by giving them the mortgage money PLUS the homes. 10million lost homes. Including as many as possible in this recovery is good

He didn't say he has absolute power. He said he has plenary power under the NDA, which is the primary tool giving him to power to provide for the needs of the states. Which he is doing.

We are giving ourselves this money! WE, not 45, are bailing out companies, as well. Wake up, people! Where do you think this money is coming from?

I think it's disingenuous to not tell people that during a state of emergency the president has the authority to supercede ANY law. That reporter intentionally tried to frame the question to get that answer but make it seem like Trump was boasting.
