Governors pushing back on the president about when their states reopen is so strange. What an upside down moment this is. I never thought I’d be someone yelling at the TV, “States’ rights!! States’ rights!!”

He refused a federal response in shutting down, he can’t now invoke a federal response to open up.

This is *exactly* right! How did we get same-sex marriage rights? What about cannabis policy? Where are “green” initiatives coming from? Sanctuary Cities are now setting immigration policy! We can’t run a diverse decentralized networked country with a centralized hierarchy!!

Same here. I enjoyed @NYGovCuomo emphasizing this at his daily news briefing today.

The problem is Democrat governors will put politics over people. It’s politics all the time with them. Just look at the cities governed by Democrats. Homeless, rats, trash, poverty & crime infested. Democrats launder the money to themselves and leave the people to live in filth.

What’s so strange is that Trump refused to declare nation wide shelter at home order but now wants to be the one to open up businesses. No way Jose!

I thought the Republican Party was about less federal government? Seriously. I thought that’s why we voted republican or Democrat?

States rights is only convenient to conservatives if it allows them to oppress queer people and people of color.

A week ago I tweeted a wish that the Governors would organize an end around play ... and it happened! Trump cannot get away with this stuff forever.

Does the GOP even remember what it used to stand for?? My God 🤦🏻‍♀️ Unrecognizable. They need to start over.
