That’s true. I spent a year making these arguments so I know them well. I know personally the underbelly of that beast. But if we don’t defeat Trump then there will be no way to deal that later. He will sew things up like a madman if we give him the keys to the White House again.

Which means Biden must embrace the Left. There's rightness to what you're saying in the moment, but wrongness considering the same arguments, decade after decade, have brought us exactly here.

@TheDemocrats obviously do not care if fascism wins, as long as Democratic Socialism loses. We, the people, need to threaten Wall Street with a #MayDay #DebtStrike. Make Bernie all that's standing b/w capitalism & #BigUs w/pitchforks. That's how we got the New Deal, after all.

You can imagine both parties tied with a rope. If the right goes further to the right, the rope stretches but can't go further (cuz left isn't moving) and will tend to come back. If the left goes on the right, the right can go easily further to the right since the rope is loose.
