There’s a big difference between neoliberal centrist corporatist corruption - which came at me with outright fury, so I know it well - and actual fascism represented by continuing on the road we’re on. At this point we have to stop the latter before we can deal with the former.

but if trump is going to be dead in like 6 years, who cares that he has fascistic tendencies?? isn't the greater threat at this point total defeat by the hand of neoliberal corruption?

We shouldn’t kid ourselves about what he would do with another four years if they were given to him. If you look at what he has tried to do already, and to some extent even succeeded, we are in an emergency here. We cannot afford another 4 or 6 years.

Absolutely not wrong, but this is a perfect example of the shock doctrine. Trump is the emergency, and the manufactured answer will do nothing to help people.

Unfortunately as logical as that might sound its not that simple. The former is the ENABLER of the latter. To stop the latter - you have to stop the Enabler and the Enabling.

Tbh I think that it is even harder to combat neoliberal corporatism when there is a neoliberal president. Obama was really an awful president for working class people, but because he was eloquent and charming, people didnt scrutinise him for his policies as much as they should've
