It’s hard. I also understand their frustration, so I don’t want to say anything to invalidate the feelings behind that position. I’m hoping and praying it changes, though. Our democracy cannot withstand another four years of Trump. I believe that with all my heart.

Wut? A bit condescending? Democracy died when hillary bought the dnc in 2016. That continued when the dnc fixed the 2020 electronic vote totals. We know that. If you don't, do your research! :(

Biden is the one that needs to earn the votes. That’s his job

It's a class issue, not a party issue. If it was the other way around & Bernie was the candidate in question- I honestly believe Pelosi, Schumer,et al would all vote for 45 over Bernie. They want the status quo; they DO NOT want Med For All,Green New Deal or wealth to be taxed.

marianne, can we actually apply the definition of democracy to what is going on in the US right now, and the massive violation of voting rights that occurred throughout the primary?

I am not coming out as endorsing Joe Biden, but the worst case scenario is far more terrifying with Trump. Nonetheless we need to elicit a REAL response from the Biden team. Medicare at age 60 wasn't it. They have to give us SOMETHING or they are choosing to lose.

No, Biden is worse than Trump. If you don't vote for Trump, you're voting for Biden. We can use same logic, right? So, abstain. Democratic party is racist, imperailist and enemy of Americans. Change outside from the ballot box that is owned by money.
I hear your sincerity, and if I hold my nose and vote for him it will probably only be because of your sincerity. A lot can happen between now and November though.

Biden does not in any way, shape or form represent democracy. The most important thing is systemic change, not electing another corporate Democrat.
