People should stop and ask themselves what Trump’s endgame is. It’s actually very clear: he doesn’t want to stop until he has total control. He finds democracy tedious while dictatorship is a good fit for his personality. He’s politically strong and we’ve got to be even stronger.

It’s upsetting that our democracy is so fragile and one bad seed could do so much damage. There should be more protections and controls to prevent this.

There ARE protections and controls, but they went down right in front of us one after the other. He keeps firing people who could hold him accountable and hiring people who protect them. The only thing that can stop this now is we the people, in November.

Yes but laws requiring ways of doing things would be more protection. For example, impeachment trials require documents and witnesses, pandemic teams cannot be abandoned, the electoral college must directly represent population, healthcare cannot be defunded, etc.
