They’re on a recess. For some reason I feel the need to repeat that. They’re...on...a...recess....!
Congress' job has only grown more critical with the crisis. But lawmakers are on an extended recess — and they still can't vote remotely. trib.al/PTqj2Mc

When every medical provider has proper PPE, they should go on recess. When every hospital has the respirators, ventilators & medicine they need, they should go on recess. When money is in the pipeline to give every American what they need to survive this, they should go on recess

Shouldn’t the work of Congress be considered an “essential service?” And if it’s not, then what does that say?

I've made up my mind that Lincoln Chaffee gets my vote. No more Democrats or Republicans. No to Trump. No to Biden. Plus, watching the meltdown of the establishment in Washington would be priceless

The produce guy earning $17,000 per year is essential. A congressman earning $174,000 per year isn't.

Congress needs a recess so it can do its REAL job : calling rich donors to find out what policies to pass next session, fattening their portfolios and avoiding the unjustly treated & overwhelmed, sick & dying constituents their previous policies created

How many laws does one need? We have too many of some and few of others. I certainly have concern over emergency funding to JFK center and numerous other padded measures! Maybe if they realize they are not essential, we can remove them from the payroll and benefits.
