They’re on a recess. For some reason I feel the need to repeat that. They’re...on...a...recess....!

When every medical provider has proper PPE, they should go on recess. When every hospital has the respirators, ventilators & medicine they need, they should go on recess. When money is in the pipeline to give every American what they need to survive this, they should go on recess

Shouldn’t the work of Congress be considered an “essential service?” And if it’s not, then what does that say?

Unfortunately it isn't surprising to find nothing but selfish intent among the elected. Horrifying to admit that all economic relief is born only with economic disaster, not the health tragedy. Hopefully now we may experience a new paradigm shift.
At the rate that people are dying. How many Americans will die before they come back? Something tells me they're willing to make that sacrifice.

Maybe Congress should have to work like the rest of us for that salary and cushy benefits. Minimum of 2000hrs a year. 2 weeks vacation and 6 days of sick leave. i know this is better than most get. But these clowns do far less.

Having them all catch Covid in DC probably wouldn’t have helped.

They just gave themselves a raise. Very stressful job. I'll do it for half of what any of them make. Easy.
