After certain things happen, we’re never the same; our only choice is whether we’ll be better or worse. That’s always true for us as individuals and right now it’s true for us as a country. What’s important is that we make the choice ourselves and not allow it to be made for us.

And we are making choices for ourselves, more and more every day. We are making progress, as individuals in small groups and grassroots movements, regardless of what public officials and corporate managers are doing. Central authority is losing ground. We are stepping in.

The Choice of which you speak is in truth an imaginary one, made in a shadowland. The only Real choice that makes any Real difference is to remain a hostage to fear or a Host to Truth: "Nothing Real can be threatened, nothing unReal exists. Herein lies The Peace of God" ACIM
