When every citizen has the best public education in the world, a free higher ed/technical school beyond that, accessible health insurance and college loan debts cancelled, there will be an explosion of creativity and productivity in this country unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

So when someone says “Oh that sounds good but how would we pay for it?”- ask them how we paid for that bailout the other day. And helping the people thrive, removing the crushing economic burden that sits on top of so many people, will create a lot money by the way. For everyone.

I think it we started with free nursing and medical school it would be a lot easier to sell right now. Every graduate should be required to work in public healthcare or pay back the cost if they go private.

Or you can give everyone 1k /mo UBI and put your faith into people not institutions. I'm with you Marianne but I think Universal Basic Income is a the right start. Then we can use our UBI collectively to better the world I'm our communities.
