Difficult to face but at the same time important that we do: the system wasn't set up to take care of people when this happened because it wasn't set up to take care of people BEFORE this happened. For years it's existed mainly to protect & take care of only sector of our society

It's important that we see this because if we don't, the system will be like elastic: it will simply go back to its old way of functioning - or worse- when this is over. We need to demand a fundamental break from the social, economic and political trajectories of the last 40 yrs.

So yes, we must vote blue! But it has to be more than that. The "blue candidate" needs to know that just not being the other guy is not enough. We need to more than manage suffering. We need a fundamental challenge to the systemic injustices that made so much suffering inevitable

BS voting Blue is what created this mess, we need to stop voting for people or parties & DEMAND POLICIES, for instance, as crazy a tea party folks are they are good on anti-war, civil liberties & anti-drug war, let's stop left/right BS I focus on POLICIES NOT PEOPLE

I understand that as a larger concept, but I can’t go there when Donald Trump is the alternative. That’s a large part of how we got here. And for years too many of us have not been showing up for progressive democratic candidates though we could have. We let a lot of this happen.

Blue needs someone better than Biden to beat Trump.I know I won’t vote for either of them.

But that would be a vote for Trump. That’s how we got here.

I respectfully disagree. We can only break the cycle by jumping off of the "lesser of two evils" merry-go-round and building a viable third party that puts people and peace over powerful elites that control both parties. It might mean losing a battle to win the war! #WagePeace

And whoever that Democratic president may be, we the people need to pressure the hell out of him to do Medicare for all,

Sounds like for you, it's Sanders or the Sanders agenda or you go home. That's ok, that's true to who you are. The result of course is the re-election of Donald Trump, but that would give you a do over in 2024, which I think you may be considering. Bernie will age out. You, not.

By the way, to change the system to the extent your former platform suggested, I think you need a massive shift in the consciousness of the culture. Only mass suffering can achieve that - I mean mass suffering for a long long time - years, not months. /1
