This is the coming-of-age event no one saw coming. It’ll be hard to retain a politically immature perspective after this, to assume we’re protected from any manner of other disastrous possibilities either. From nuclear safety to environmental safety it’s time for a whole new way.

For years we’ve been whittling away at public investments in things that provide public safety. Creating short term corporate profit superseded long term protection of the common good; public safety has been sacrificed at the altar of corporate gain. This will stop if we stop it.

The hard truth we all need to face is the virus/Pandemic will be from our failure to address homeless. The conditions of dismtoen tent cities like LA are ripe conditions for a plague another virus. No matter how you feel about homeless, it effects us all. We are one.
