The issue isn't that our economic system is immoral; it's that it's amoral. And amoral behavior leads to immoral consequences. It's not enough to not wish people harm; we have to wish people well. We have to be willing to help. Love is proactive & practical, or it's just a word.

Wish the president well

I can wish him well without agreeing with his policies; he's a president, not a king. We're told by God we have to love each other, but not that we have to agree with each other. And sometimes love says "No." There's nothing holy about complacency in the face of danger.

Which, as always, brings us back to democratic capitalism, using the power of democracy to ensure everyone benefits, has a chance to participate and plays by the same set of rules. It worked for decades, we need to get back to it demcastusa.com/2020/01/17/de…

The free market system is the best system in the world for lifting people out of poverty. It is the most moral economic system. Millions have been lifted out of poverty by capitalism in India, China, the Phillipines, South Korea, Japan, etc etc.

Where does indifference arise from? The Good Samaritan is a timeless example.Society is Progress and Gain driven. The sense that if we stop to assist, we loose or are dragged downwards. What needs to happen is to build aspect of care into the wealth system.Otherwise it flounders

When Trump signed the 2 billion dollar relief bill … he said that he would write in a “finding" eliminating the restrictions and the oversight over the millions given to Corporations … I would call this an example of “Amoral Behavior”

Behavior ... even if it's neutral ... without love ... leads to fear ...
