This is happening for one reason only: that the president has refused to use the Defense Production Act to direct the manufacture of all needed equipment. Says the federal govt isn't a "shipping clerk," doesn't want to tell the business sector what to do. It's borderline criminal
My hands are shaking i can’t type. A nurse at my elmhurst hospital who i don’t know just called me crying. She said they need vents but more so need doctors and also doctors who are ICU trained. She told me they cry everyday bc they know they’re gonna die. They’re begging. Please

Decisions about global health, shared resources and planet need to be made by unbiased humanitarian experts not by short-sighted power-hungry demagogues who refuse to consider or cannot grasp the complexities of these issues. theatlantic.com/technology/a…

So it isn't the job of the government to make sure hospitals get medical equipment that saves lives, but it IS the job of government to bail out wealthy corporations.

this hospital is particularly incapable. this is a location the military should set up a tent hospital. Ask for that loudly instead of blaming the president. use you influence in the pursuit of actual solutions

When US corps were volunteering to make the med supplies, why would Trump use the Def Production Act to force them? When GM said they would make 40,000 ventilators & now say they will only make 6,000 & charge more for them, Trump is now threatening GM to use the DPS against them
