I do not understand how a one- time payment of $1200 is going to be enough. It’s not just whether or not the virus will be kept at bay; it’s whether or not despair will be kept at bay. Putting tens of millions of people at risk for such intense anxiety is a recipe for disaster.

Peanuts for the peasants. Big corporations make billions per year and do not have a rain day fund? The INCs have been fleeced by the owners thru stock buy backs leaving the corporate structure stripped of funds to ride out a bad period, and now want more. youtube.com/D-7uro3A3qU

Some people need the help. Food, gas, rent... gets tough when there is no paycheck!

It obviously won’t and now I won’t have much of anything in April, or end up with no money ! What happened to immediately? May isn’t immediately

Even though I’m retired and only have $40k in income, I won’t get anything because I sold a home in 2019 so had capital gains and my CPA already filed my taxes. Don’t file before the deadline in cases like this.

Mark Cuban said something yesterday on The View about it being dangerous to make people so desperate, that if they can't feed their families it will lead to unrest, people taking to the streets.

A core "value" of the GOP (if you can call it that) is "Use the system to kill the Poors like the vermin they are." Once people realize that, everything they do makes sense. Too bad the DNC crippled (our FDR) Bernie's campaign so Sleepy Joe could be a punching bag in Nov.
