It is completely unacceptable that any doctor at any hospital in the United States is lacking the medical equipment they need in order to handle this. The richest, most powerful nation in the world has a govt that in the most infuriating, immoral way has let down its own citizens

The purpose of our FedGov was never to stockpile every conceivable item. STATES need to take responsibility for themselves. NY, for ex, knew their medical stockpile was short 16K ventilators in 2005 but chose to "ration" the few they had. And ... that's @realDonaldTrump 's fault?

No reason that we are scrambling and letting each state find their own supplies. The Secretary of Health and Human Services should be doing this.

And now that a 2.2T will be out of the country in fiscal paradise by Monday, the super rich are leaving town and all the poor, and old will be left dying

For. Profit. Healthcare. Millions in the US still think the above 3 words belong together. Mahalo for backing Bernie. He is the only Presidential candidate who understands that solutions need to be holistic, not linear.

You can't stockpile tens of thousands or more of unused ventilators "just in case". The country is meeting demands. The shortage of masks is another matter. The shortage of test kits was the CDC's biggest mistake, but it is being resolved.
