Our entire government has been hijacked by a corporate aristocracy hardly different than the British monarchy and aristocracy we rejected in 1776. This is so much bigger than Democrats versus Republicans: this is the people versus that entire machinery & what keeps it well oiled.

false narrative. The Am Rev just substituted rich British rulers for rich American rulers. Only white men who owned property could vote. But the false history and "american exceptionalism" allows the elites to continue to rule while the masses have no universal healthcare, etc
