Our entire government has been hijacked by a corporate aristocracy hardly different than the British monarchy and aristocracy we rejected in 1776. This is so much bigger than Democrats versus Republicans: this is the people versus that entire machinery & what keeps it well oiled.

Exactly. Our founders were escaping the reach of the crony land companies (corporate conglomerates & military) of the British Empire; they wanted a nation of "laws and not men." CAPITALISM was a British system that made it here after our civil war.
