Marianne, I am really glad you did this interview. It cleared up some misconceptions I had been cultivating about your run for office (hey, I'm human, and I can't claim perfection). It gave me peace about you in ways I haven't felt peaceful lately, thank you...
But honestly, you know I had been following your social media for months (as well as those of other campaigns) and I have to say. I don't - don't - believe there was an organized campaign to push you out of the race.
I just don't. Sorry....
And as to the intentions of Amy and Pete - I heard them out. I believe they told their own truth. Neither of them were polling well among black Americans. Dems needed those voters to win. Theirs was a mathematical decision, maybe strategic but within the arc of political reason.
Outside of that, I am so glad you had all that time to speak with that man. Much of you say makes perfect sense to me. It's my hope that in the future you find the right path to get more of your ideas into the world, because they are very valuable. VERY valuable. Love you!
I have to say that I was more impressed and inspired when listening to this than I have been listening to anyone else who has run for an elected position.
