I used this image from the Titanic a couple of days ago and a writer hates to repeat herself, but it bears repeating: what we’re going through now is the upper class passengers trying to lock in the people in steerage so that only they could get the available lifeboats.

… and look where it got them! To be clear, it was only some passengers, probably, who took that attitude. The rest didn’t even know what was going on, or tried to argue with the policy. See: youtube.com/PU38aaViV84

My great grandma was on the Titanic. Luckily she was only 16 so she was able to get on a lifeboat.

We are reminded of what it means to have left philosophy out of what we study, to have left spirituality to religions, to have a social void where nobody cares about what happens because who holds power is supposed to take the right decisions-that involve ethics and spirituality.

Until this pandemic is over, what if everyone already in self isolation simply refused to return to work, supported each other, & bought only basic goods and services (a general strike) until legislation was passed to help people survive? The key would be us helping each other.
