And the implication is that only the elderly would die. What about young people whose immune system is fragile? The middle aged people with cancer who will die? Transpant receivers? Children who will become infected? I am appalled.

Need is a strong word, implies life stops when granny dies. Lots of people grow up without grand parents. Not advocating for an old people purge, just saying the wording is sensationalized.

What I haven't seen mentioned is that 50% of the people in ICU are under the age of 65. They have a greater survival rate ... after weeks on ventilators. Once our medical system is overwhelmed, they won't (not enough ventilators).
