I’m not anti-capitalist; it has done a lot of good for the world. But unbridled capitalism, untethered to ethical considerations, has done great damage too. It helped create the problem and it is not the answer now. This isn’t about profit for anyone; it’s only about saving lives

Agreed. The goodness of a system is entirely based on the goodness of the people involved in that system. The same holds true for companies. Every single decision is made by a person.

Exactly. Just like Americans throwing rocks at socialism. That was unbridled socialism that quickly devolved into oligarchy and a “thug”ocracy. Checks and balances, people. But you know Americans: Don’t tell me what to do!

Capitalism isn't inherently benevolent Marianne. The credit goes to the communists & workers movements of the past who coerce the global capitalist class into treating working people w/dignity & decency throughout history.
