I’m not anti-capitalist; it has done a lot of good for the world. But unbridled capitalism, untethered to ethical considerations, has done great damage too. It helped create the problem and it is not the answer now. This isn’t about profit for anyone; it’s only about saving lives

Capitalism should be a monetary policy, not a type of government. Unfortunately, our government has been infected.

Sorry, you cannot in good conscience defend Capitalism on any level.

Capitalism has done absolutely *no* good for the world. You’re thinking of innovation, labor, & trading goods & services. None of which require capitalism. The only defining trait of capitalism is people get rich simply by owning capital and extracting profit from others’ labor.

Socialism IS anti-capitalist. Supporting a socialist candidate is the most anti-capitalist thing anyone can do.

Unfortunately, "*ethical* capitalism" is now a contradiction in terms, thanks to Milton Friedman and others. We need some new terms to talk about economic systems - "new isms," if you will - so we can stop this silly 19th-century argument.

Seems as lots of things have help create this kool technology stuff. Heard a few months back that the Natives have a 500 year old prophecy of the internet called "The Mouse & The Web." Lately been thinking of all them muscle car rock & roll songs that took many young lives in 70s

The problem is when capitalism becomes an article of faith , capitalism and socialism are just tools that should be used in their proper place to improve the life of the people, eradicate poverty and suffering as much as we can.

I fear there are those on Wall Street who are yelling SELL, SELL, SELL, so they can cause chaos to make the rich. This is the unbridled you speak of Mari. Meanwhile across the land , people are loosing 401K. After this over with, there will be a reckoning on them.
