An unholy alliance of capitalism without a conscience & government without a soul has led us to the precipice. This crisis though painful is an important wake-up call. Ethics not greed must be the light that guides us & humanitarian not economic principle must be our bottom line.

Capitalism doesn't have a soul and it never will Might as well ask for a kinder, gentler Nazism

I don’t see it that way. I don’t think it’s naïve to believe capitalism centered in ethical values has done a lot of good on the planet. But without ethical values - disconnected from conscience - global capitalism has become a scourge.

We just been slowed down from 150 miles an hour towards a cliff that this young troubadour spoke to deaf ears at UN in early 90s. If Natives right 15 years ago about having 5 years back then to stop it, its too late. :) youtube.com/lhesdVrawgc

Respect your view but capitalists have never done any good out of their own free will; they needed guns shoved in their faces first, or at least the threat of that happening You can try to reform an imperfect present or build a better future-We won't get there by asking nicely

This is kind of insane Marianne. Sure, developing better ways of supporting humanity is good but history has shown that capitalism is an engine that destroys anyone who doesn’t win its lottery.
