FDR didn’t just pull us out of the Depression. He fundamentally altered economic/banking/political rules so it wouldn’t happen again. Several decades ago we started dismantling some of the very protections that FDR created, so crony capitalists could party more. And here we are.

Thank you @marwilliamson!! We need politicians who spend 100% of their time working HARD for the PEOPLE who have ZERO representation. NOT 80% ppl / 20% billionaires!!?! *** the rich thrive by buying the best: Lawyers Businesses Accountants...etc. NO MORE BUYING POLITICIANS!

The the root of the problem is that capitalism kept those ppl in power even throughout the New Deal days so they eventually they would be positioned to undo it

Many of which policies were detrimental to our recovery at the time. What pulled America out of the Depression was WWll which unleashed “the sleeping giant” that was American capitalism and entrepreneurship. Notice that EVERY economy on the planet is suffering under Covid19

Salient! None have said this in decades. "Capitalist" economies experienced cyclical boom & bust, i.e. "roaring 20s" followed by "Great Crash". Since then, until the 1980s "recession" was to be feared. That's like going from death from Flu to missing work from a Cold.
