My criticism of the primaries today had nothing to do with the election results. It had to do with the fact that at a time when the government is telling people to stay home, people were having to risk their health in order to vote.

We can now read the Imperial College report on COVID-19 that led to the extreme measures we've seen in the US this week. Read it; it's terrifying. I'll offer a summary in this thread; please correct me if I've gotten it wrong. imperial.ac.uk/media/imperia…

Yeah, I'm still pissed I had to drive 9 miles yesterday and early vote in AZ after they changed my location, but I did it because Bernie could have dropped out last week, but he didn't. So I did what I had to, but will he tomorrow? This is madnes now, tell him to cut it out!

Vote in IL was down 50%. It suppressed the vote. It did make a difference in election results.

I live in WA w/automatic & same day registration. Postage page, mail-in paper ballots. You have 10 days to vote and can track your vote on the state website. Every state in the union needs to do the same thing. Its a lot less expensive for the state and more reliable.

There were few good alternatives, Marianne. I listened to several news reports, from govs who put it off to those who didn't. Nobody has a crystal ball good enough to know when this will end. Some say it will get worse in a few weeks. Some held elections thinking it's better now.

Anyway, I haven't read the "criticisms" yet. I just got up and I'm on my first Green Tea and Chocolate.
