1) Meditation for today: Sit quietly and look around you. Notice anything in your surroundings that is something you love, as well as things you normally try to avoid dealing with. Extend your awareness to the entire space. Let's change your relationship to your physical home.

2) Don't rush through this. Take your time. For things that are positive and helpful in your surroundings, take this moment to feel gratitude. To realize there are millions of people on this planet who wish they had what you have. Recognize how much we take for granted.

3) Now allow yourself to notice how many things in your home cry out for your attention. Closets and drawers that need to be sorted out, space that needs to be cleaned, clutter that needs to be dealt with, emails that need to be written, calls to make. Don't rush. Lean in to it.

Now for the big one: people. As you sit there send love to everyone who lives with you, especially the ones who annoy you. Realize this is the perfect opportunity to spend time getting clear, dissolving walls in front of your heart. Surrender to God your annoyances & judgements.

You alone are in control of how you'll deal with what's happening. The chance that you or someone you love will die from this is very low, but you're needed to keep the numbers as low as possible. Only you can determine whether you'll use this time to become a better human being.

It is in moments such as these that we get to discover who we are without all the distractions... Thank you Marianne. Your words bring me comfort. Grateful.

Marianne, Is it possible for you to do a daily guided meditation (see Deepak's last 2 days) again? I have that "little ball of golden light" memorized from your meditations CD, but so many others could use it specifically to deal with what's happening. I know you did last week.💕

I must deal with this as a persecuted, anathematized whistleblower -- persistent grim struggle in the face of organized hostility, rampant corruption, and consistent apathy. For 1/3 of a century, nobody has cared. Now look what's happening. angelfire.com/nj/jhgraf/cont…

Marianne, it is hard for me not to see this as similar to the plagues of the book of Exodus. The ecosystem of the planet is collapsing and the majority of older people are unwilling to address it politically, and then a global pandemic arises that targets older people.
