Why isn't the democratic party trying to protect the people's health and figuring out how to send mail in ballots to all voters instead of asking them to wait in crowded lines at polling places when we're being told to stay home due to a massive health crisis?

No reason for it to be postponed unless @DNC is trying to further help @JoeBiden. Any delay will be seen as another part of the continuing coup by @JoeBiden and those who support him within Democratic Party.

They’re encouraging vote by mail/absentee voting/early voting as alternatives, I doubt it will be sufficient though

Not only the virus, but the obvious drastic climate changes the planet is experiencing every year says that the entire nation changing to the Vote by Mail system that works so well in WA State needs to be put in place everywhere.

We all have cell phones with fingerprint security, why doesnt someone propose voting from our devices with multiple authentication, even without virus worries, that would allow the largest voter turn out election after election after election. Why does it have to be so difficult?
