State officials having to make decisions re school closings made agonizing by the fact that millions of children only eat each day because they’re fed at school. This in the richest country in the world! All this is exposing America’s underbelly, and hopefully we’ll learn from it

Our Gini index is skewed. Needs to go from >40% to <30%. There is plenty of money and resources for this to happen. We need to get money where it is needed most.

While schools close I think of children like #GabrielFernandez and it makes me worry for young children who do need better care than they may receive at home, for what ever reason. Please be open to helping anyone who needs it during these scary times.

No, we will not learn from it. Until we stop electing sociopaths on the left and right, we're all complicit. As an emergency physician who volunteers with the homeless, many children were kicked out by their parents who choose the bible over their child. We're a sick nation.

You're right. It's unacceptable that children are going hungry.

Not to mention the parents now needing childcare because they still must go to work. And with not having the money for childcare many kids will be on their own at home.
