My daughter lives in London and she was showing me today how the UK is handling the coronavirus. Looking at that and the responses of other countries too, one thing is clear: in an age of health emergencies, we need at the very least a semi-socialized system of medicine.

It’s not a privatized vs socialized thing. It’s a hospital thing. Hospitals in Italy dropped the ball. They did in the US also. There is NO reason these countries shouldn’t have stock piles of supplies on hand in case of a pandemic. It all comes down to one thing: $$$$
