My daughter lives in London and she was showing me today how the UK is handling the coronavirus. Looking at that and the responses of other countries too, one thing is clear: in an age of health emergencies, we need at the very least a semi-socialized system of medicine.

Lmao you must be stupid. Italy has a government controlled health system just like England and that entire country is on lockdown. The worst thing this country needs is a system controlled by crooks looking to sell body parts in the black market

I would prefer a public option coupled with a competent president, but in the absence of a competent president you bet we need Medicare for All.

HEALTH FORCE! We need a health force. Put it under the military only way to get anything passed here.

We must ask ourselves... Why, in the richest country in the world, is the United States falling behind in response to the coronavirus? A shortage of availability for testing is not only unacceptable, it is accelerating the crisis.

I have a daughter who lives there too. She has her thinking cap on and challenges many of my misconceptions.

Maybe democratic semi-socialist system would have gone over better.
