Most evolved society blends capitalism & socialism, honoring both individual freedom & care for the common good. Few countries (including ours: police and fire dept are essentially socialist) all one or the other. The market good at some things, public investment better at others

Police and fire are common goods, not "essentially socialism".

The whole government is essentially "socialist" as it is publicly funded. Plz Marianne speak up on Tulsi's right to debate. Wish you were as well.

In 2008, Obama was elected and little changed to help that large portion of the country that needed help. In two short years he lost the congress. With no “real change”, we’re doomed to repeat that same cycle. It’s a simple choice. Repeat the past or create real change.

Market is never good... if you think better.

Bailouts, subsidies, tax free, interest free, laws+bills, tax cuts, trade deals, deregulation, no fed wage increases, incentives,pay2play, absence of regulation, monopolies, price gouging Are all examples of gov socialism for the business class. Regular ppl it's SCARY SOCIALISM

The genius of Federalism: The ability to socialize state/local issues (police, fire, hospitals, education) while maintaining self-rule from federal bureaucrats who want to micromanage from Washington DC

All good society are "socialist" - a society organised to protect & secure the community; an equal opportunity to rise & contribute; a fair share in the common wealth. Corrupt society put one class of citizen above others; get sycophants to teach why that's a good thing.

I say those things knowing that you have made a course correction in your life and that being an operative for Sanders, and later moving to DC to be a political influencer appears to be your new calling. The other Marianne, so helpful to me and others, is a thing of the past.
