The world isn’t a zero-sum game. It’s not as though there are only so many pieces of the pie & if I give one to you then there will be less for me. It’s actually the opposite: what we give ultimately multiplies & what we withhold from others will ultimately be withheld from us.

Yes! When people try their best to cooperate and help each other it works out better for everyone. It's true for families, sports teams, villages, first responders, small business, hospitals, etc. When a few people stop doing this and act only for themselves, things get worse.

If you believe that, then how could you believe in a socialist society? Giving “free” stuff means you are taking it away from those who have earned it and rewarding those who haven’t. You end up with a lethargic mass of people.
