People with corona symptoms having to go back to work - many who handle our food btw- because we have no federally mandated sick leave. Nor do we have adequate preparedness. This is what happens when private short term profit is placed before public investment in the common good.

When my employer refused to accept call offs for sickness I learned that sick days are a courtesy that they give you even though you have to earn them by tenths of an hour. They also revoked 50 hours worth from everyone when they felt like it. Something's wrong with this picture.

Agreed. I'm sorry that you didn't have a longer campaign run. As a political scientist , I suggest running for local office in your town and building a base there. Best of luck!

It is awful. Here in the UK, the government has promised to make statutory sick pay available from day one. However this still neglects those on zero-hours contracts, in this gig economy.

People are born strong mentally emotionally pysically and spiritually ,or they become so by their own experiences, or by learning from others experiences. Either way these are things we must learn to love about each other.

Because it can live outside the body in cool, moist conditions for up to 9 days, I'd say it's probably not a good idea to be utilizing a lot of those home-delivery meal kits that are often packed by low-wage workers without sick days..

Coronavirus is not going anywhere so sick days or quarantine is irrelevant here. I share @elonmusk view that this panic is stupid
