A lot of misogyny is unconscious. Some of the most vicious misogeny is from women towards other women. One insidious form of it is “selective feminism” - a theoretical support of other women that really only applies to women that we like.

Black girl here... I agree very much with this tweet both as a “victim” and “perpetrator” of such misogyny. It is deeply ingrained into us. Feminism means to me all people are equal. We all need to examine our unconscious biases so we truly mean all. ❤️

While true, conversely, a lot of women claiming misogyny are using it as an excuse to not acknowledge personal failures. BTW- most women just have better & more honest BS meters when it comes to women shouting misogyny/sexism/racism etc
