A lot of misogyny is unconscious. Some of the most vicious misogeny is from women towards other women. One insidious form of it is “selective feminism” - a theoretical support of other women that really only applies to women that we like.

That’s the problem with that brand of feminism—it’s all glass ceilings and elevating individuals. I have no desire to further Sarah Palin’s career opportunities based on genitalia similarities.
