Bottom line in govt policy shouldn’t be whatever serves corporate profit. It should be whatever serves people & their ability to thrive. Shift from economic to humanitarian bottom line invigorates people AND invigorates the economy because more people will be able to participate!

Which is why I added persistence to that. Ps no one is or should be guaranteed wealth or whatever you meant by thriving. That’s something you work for, take risks for and make sacrifices. It also requires creativity and ingenuity. So many people who thrive have common qualities.
Nothing is free, ever. Everything costs something. Twitter doesn’t allow enough characters. Personally, I want people to thrive too but I don’t think the things you listed reflect whether someone thrives or not. It would make their circumstances easier for a time but not thrive.
I think we can agree on the outcome but disagree on the means to get there.
We aren’t other countries. There needs to be changes in Healthcare but I don’t think it should be free. As for tuition, I’m not an expert but I think it’s when government stepped in that tuition skyrocketed. Interesting read. google.com/amp/s/www.washing…
We aren’t bad in every way. We are far from perfect but we have a lot of good in this country too. I really wish you all the best and hope you get a chance to see that someday. I mean that sincerely. I hope you have a good night.
Capitalists used to take care of their employees...
