When things are disappointing on the outside, the key to transforming them lies on the inside. Anger and fear can be aroused by external events, but if we feel the sadness and ask how we might be even better going forward then they can make us even stronger than we were before.

(((((( M ))))) 1/3 - This AM, I was feeling short with the whole business of Super Tuesday. My first FB post of the day was difficult. Could even have been seen as angry. (hence I w/d it) I didn't know that underneath that anger was a lot of other emotion waiting to surface...

2/3 - An excellent therapist I once saw told me that anger is just a cover emotion. To unlock it, look beneath and you will find fear. Look beneath that and you will find sorrow. Grief. Something lost fuels the fear that it can never be regained. That fear fuels anger at a loss.

3/3 - So I took myself thru the steps. First to honor (and express) the anger, then to honor the fear, then to feel the grief. When I acknowledged a death, rebirth became possible. I thought about this when I saw your Tweet. Wanted to answer all day. Feel ok to do it now. <3
