Dana Bash said tonight that the moderate lane “organically” fell into place behind Biden today. No it did not. What happened was the result of a strategized, orchestrated plan to block someone deemed inconvenient to the political establishment.

Elite Republicans don’t respect democracy; elite Democrats don’t trust democracy. Real power in the hands of the people is a threat that neither of them can abide.

I would say that both parties don't want democracy, one was more blatantly than the other. But let's wait until the convention to see if this holds.

I've always liked you, but you're out of your mind on this one the votes came in overwhelmingly in one direction...what you are saying is that many Dems like me who showed up for Joe don't matter...we do, we'll keep on showing up and that's why tonight happened the way it did

So you’re just disregarding people who voted for Biden tonight? That’s not the answer.

The democratic tyranny of 50% plus one is a threat the 50% less one can't abide. That's why we are a republic; that's why power is not rule by majority, but by voluntary consensus among all the People. It is conversation, compassion, compromise - not mobs, not votes.

Moderate candidates dropped out and endorsed the moderate candidate they prefer, just as you presumably dropped out and endorsed the candidate you prefer. Ultimately the voters decide who they prefer from whoever’s left. The voting majority apparently decided on Biden tonight.
