Sometimes, being a historian can make your jaw drop. Charles Thomson was the Secretary of Congress from 1774-1789, from the first meeting of the Continental Congress until the new Constitution replaced the Articles of Confederation.

How divisive he was. Washington was not a real Democrat! 😝

It's history. Greedy people refuse to learn. He's not psychic, He's reading the past, and the past keeps happening.

He wasn't really psychic. They had Torries that were loyal to the crown during the revolution. A lot of the American patriots who joined the revolution at the time identified with the Whig political party before moving towards independence.

Not psychic so much...more like a profound understanding and acceptance of the delicate and fickle nature of the human psyche when presented with power.

Some would say he just had common sense, something that seems to be lost to many Americans today.

I have been thinking all day about who Bernie’s VP is going to be? I could definitely get behind a Sanders/Williamson ticket.

I'm Dutch and it is such a shame we don't have someone like you in our political scene. I'd vote for you if I had the choice.

And yet those "wise" forefathers put no laws in place to stop that eventuality from happening.
