What has he accomplished? First of all, we would not even be talking about universal healthcare if it were not for Bernie Sanders. Secondly, he has ignited the passion of millions of Americans, particularly young Americans twice in a row in the direction of progressive politics.

I’m sorry Marianne but I was in the Senate Chamber in 1971 when Ted Kennedy introduced his first National Health Service Bill. When Bernie was in the House in the 1990s and offered no support when Hillary Clinton led the charge for it after Ted’s death.
