What Bernie stands for is not radical or extreme. It’s nothing more than a return to the traditional FDR Democratic Party position of always being on the side of the working people in America. Prior to the 1980s, that was considered the core of the Democratic Party.

Those in both parties who paint Bernie as extreme are doing so in order to protect an economic paradigm that puts corporations before people. THAT is what should be seen as extreme.

His “movement” has turned cult like. If you dare disagree with one thing or anything his supporters go on full attack. We don’t need more of this type of environment.
Actually no. He continues the tradition of huckster and extremist getting accepted in the America mainstream. Like yourself and Trump. Bernie is much nicer man then Trump is but he the different side of the coin of the same phenomenon.
Also FDR did not describe himself as a socialist. Nor was he outside of the Democratic power structure for his whole life. He was basically democratic royalty. Warren would be closes to FDR if she didn't pander to the utopian views of Sanders supporters so much.

FDR was a multi-millionaire CAPITALIST. FDR was the Democratic Establishment. That’s how he got social programs through. That & Eleanor. Bernie has good ideas, but he is no FDR, & he’s not a Democrat.
Hey I'm for Bernie if you keep Trump in office say goodbye to your social security when you retire..If you're not in that 1% you better kiss your future goodbye..If bidan gets in he voted to cute social security and he's see now how the hell long is he going to run the country ..

But he and his supporters say he's a proponent of democratic socialism, which by definition is a rejection of capitalism. Democratic socialism - whether good or bad - espouses an economic system that differs radically from capitalism. That fact conflicts with your assertion.

How is paying off the student loans of lawyers, accountants, and investment bankers "being on the side of the working people." It is just a government handout to the well off or soon to be well off.
