There’s a reason why Bernie keeps mentioning FDR. He realizes that for millions of people today the situation is as dire as what many people were experiencing then. We need a massive infusion of economic opportunity into the life of the average American - and we need it fast.

Seems contrary to what I admired about your candidacy - our problems are not fundamentally material, you seemed to be saying but "spiritual." Now you've joined the Bernie bandwagon which is all about taking material things from some people and giving them to others.

It IS a spiritual issue to refuse to look away from the suffering of others. That’s why I ran, and what I said throughout the campaign.

It is also a spirtual issue to look away from the exploitation that led to the massive accumulation of wealth on the labor of others and consumption of natural resources which belong to the earth not some temporal owner.

It is a pity that so many people who quote scripture and use their choice holy text use it so often in a manner that subverts what’s actually being said. Examples: Eye of the Needle, Turn the Other Cheek, and...too many more to list. I like you still because you’re honest.
