Dem establishment disdains the Sanders revolution for the same reason that the Sanders revolution disdains the Dem establishment: “If you win, I lose power.” Nothing ever really changes. The story of America is a constant reenactment of the struggle between elites and the people

The irony is that the Sanders revolution, not a corporatized Democratic elite, IS a return to the soul of the Democratic Party. I’m old enough to remember when it had one so I know.

Thank you Marianne! Absolute power corrupts. We must hold all our leaders accountable for sharing power to benefit others. I feel that's the core principle of a Democracy and our own actions in everyday life.

Not the same thinf. If the est wins, they have disproportionate and absolute power over the masses. If the masses win, they have power only over themselves.

Yours is one of the most articulate voices in America. Thank you for your presidential campaign and standing now in your graciously assertive way with Bernie. #MarianneUSAmbassadortoUN

Not quite. For the Dem establishment, it's, "If he wins, I, personally, lose power in Washington and New York." For Sanders people, it's, "If he wins, Americans get back some power in our own lives."
