The fact Bernie hasn’t been able to enact more of his vision as a Senator doesn’t say so much about him as it says about the Senate. It’s why he needs the power of the presidency; it will give him the authority to actualize possibilities he and so many of us long for.

And you believe this same Senate will now roll over for him if he's President? Just not very realistic. If he isn't able to carry a Dem majority in the House and Senate we'll have four more years of fighting. But we won't have Trump and his horrific policies, that's something.

Absolutely, and the same goes for the ones who claim they've gotten stuff done. Yes, awful stuff.

He wants to keep the filibuster, a major obstacle to democracy. His respect for cumbersome parliamentary rules seems extremely incongruent with his romanticizing of revolution. #WARREN2020

People making this criticism are either ignorant of the political realities in Congress, or they're acting in bad faith (looking at you Liz). I'd like these critics to tell me what specifically they think Bernie should have been able to pass but didn't.

Frederick Douglass escaped slavery to fight for the rights of the INDIVIDUAL. What's your excuse? #iHeartLiberty

Interesting that his peers found a way to get things done though. 🤷🏾‍♂️
