The fact Bernie hasn’t been able to enact more of his vision as a Senator doesn’t say so much about him as it says about the Senate. It’s why he needs the power of the presidency; it will give him the authority to actualize possibilities he and so many of us long for.

Love your work. Hawaii managed to pass healthcare without federal coercion. Surely more states could imitate it. All this focus on the federal exec and not local/state politics smacks of Caesarism. Don't you think citizens can take responsibility at a more granular level?

So as president he will have the authority? That is not how it is supposed to work, as a democracy he will still need the Senate.
