We need a new layer of the Me Too movement. Me Too I have been minimized, Me Too I have been classically devalued, Me Too I have been trivialized, Me Too I have been patronized, Me Too I have been insulted. The arrogance, not to mention ignorance of my work here is almost amusing

Completely agree. As someone who has read Marianne’s work, I have to say that she is clearly incredibly intelligent. The way she was treated was disgusting. Some of the lighthearted “banter” is okay, but constantly berating her was sickening to see.

I agree. To be fair though, the thread as a whole was much less dismissive than many others I have seen. People’s resistance and their patronization of your work are a reflection of their own level of consciousness. Can’t imagine how hard it must be not to take it all personally.

Somewhere along the line some people decided that certain work people do is less important than others. That only certain jobs are worthy. Statements like this one are applied to countless other people across the country who work what many consider less desirable jobs.
