After thinking about my comment on the Yang and Yin of politics y'day (described in Healing the Soul of America), I decided to look into that part of the book again. As I understand, Yang is the material growth of a culture. Yin is the emotional, social and spiritual growth....

According to your book, both forms of growth need to be in balance or a culture becomes sick. I am enjoying re-reading parts of my 1997 version. The cover photo - dark hands holding 3 white eggs - evokes something ... that I can't quite explain. But it's good.

Emotions are important in giving us motion but a govt cannot feel emotions and often the people in govt get corrupt. We can respect privacy and property and encourage good agreement. We do need vastly more energy to solve our scarcity and make peace more likely. Gen IV Nukes

I agree there. Hopefully things can truly go in that direction... It's possible ;)
