The most evolved contemporary society has elements of both capitalism & socialism, in approportionate relationship that protects both individual freedom & care for the common good. This shouldn’t be either/or but rather both/and. It’s not a binary choice in theory or in practice.

It's true that neither pure Socialism nor pure Capitalism (anarchy) can ever create a successful society! TODAY in the US we have very nearly the perfect mix. Fire departments, roads, etc. are common good. Plumbers and hair stylists are capitalist. System only needs SMALL tweaks.

It’s weird. Some of the things you say are absolutely insane, but then you go and say this, which I’ve been saying as well, and actually agree with you about this 100%.

If capitalism was democratic it could be called socialism.

There is a difference between varying degrees of a welfare state where the government promotes and protects the economic and social well-being of citizens and actual socialism. The former is important and present in nearly all nations in varying degrees. Not enough in US for many

@AndrewYang was right when it came to having a new kind of capitalism. A human center capitalism. Especially when technology will do the work of most people in the years to come ... #yangang

I feel like 'it' can't go by either name directly, 'Human-Centered Capitalism' seems to be pretty close to just right in name if not right on the money. 'Socialism' repels people, and the systems represented by 'socialism' in the world being so, who can blame them.
